AES Japan section will hold AES Tokyo Convention 2009 (AES 14th Regional Convention, Tokyo) from July 23rd to 25th, 2009, at Science Museum Tokyo, Japan. The theme of this convention is ``Feature the Future with Sound.'' Today the audio technology that has developed around music and the film industry is spreading to the entertainment industry, various mobile devices, digital broadcasting, the internet delivery and the game industry. We expect you to discuss what the audio technology could do for people in the future. We are planning the Exhibition, the Product Seminars, the Student Programs, the Papers Session, and the Workshops.
We will welcome you to join the AES Tokyo Convention 2009 and have a good time with us.

There will be a banquet on the first evening of the convention. Banquet ticket will be sold for 6,000 JPY (non-student) and 3,000 JPY (student).

The AES Tokyo Convention committee invites you to submit technical papers for presentation at the July 2009 meeting in Tokyo, Japan. By March 19, 2009 a proposed title, 60- to 120-word abstract (English), and 500- to 750-word précis of the paper should be submitted via this web site (see the application form below). The précis should describe the work performed, methods employed, conclusion(s), and significance of the paper. Title, abstract, and précis should follow the guidelines at http://www.aes.org/journal/con_infoauth.html and http://www.aes-japan.org.
Acceptance of papers will be determined by a review committee based on an assessment of the précis. A preprint manuscript will be a condition for acceptance of the paper for presentation at the convention. Abstracts of accepted papers will be published in the convention program, so please choose your wording carefully.
It is recommended to specify whether you prefer to present your paper in a lecture or poster session. Highly detailed papers are best in poster sessions, which permit greater interaction between author and audience. The convention committee reserves the right to reassign papers to any session. Whether a lecture or a poster, a complete convention paper (electronic manuscript) submitted before May 11th, 2009 is required.

The authors who received the acceptance via e-mail is strongly recommended to use one of the format provided in LaTeX class (.zip) or Microsoft Word template (.zip). Please refer to manual.pdf (for LaTeX users) or Instructions Tokyo14.doc (for Word users) for detailed instruction for preparing the manuscript (example of the manuscript). The manuscript should be converted into Adobe PDF file and submitted via an web site which is linked below. Please contactthe technical presentation committee if you do not receive the acceptance notification after March 25th.
